Dr. Hanna performs a new patient exam on every new patient to ensure they are safe to treat. Once the exam is completed, Dr. Hanna will adjust and treat you as she deems needed. During the first visit Dr. Hanna, will go over a care plan on what she feels will help you best. Dr. Hanna will deliver a gentle and quick adjustment through the joints that have restricted motion and nervous system interference. Subluxations cause a blockage between the communication of your brain and nervous system. This can cause you to feel systems such as pain, headache, numbness, burning, and much more.

IASTM stands for instrumental assisted soft tissue mobilization. In simple terms it means that we are working to get the soft tissue moving. If your soft tissue is moving it will help you hold your adjustments longer and release trigger points that can be causing pain. The way IASTM is performed is by using a small metal tool and some emollient on the skin. Dr. Hanna will gently work the area for a few minutes to loosen everything up.

Passive Modalities
For more acute and chronic cases, Dr. Hanna can use things like electrical stimulation and moist heat packs to help relieve pain. Dr. Hanna may choose to place electrical stimulation and moist heat packs on you before she adjusts you. This will give your muscles a chance to relax before the adjustment. These are fan favorites, but you should always let Dr. Hanna know if there is a chance you are pregnant before she does this.
04.
Along with your Spine, Dr. Hanna can adjust your upper and lower extremities. She will analyze the area of discomfort and determine if an adjustment is right for the area. She can also use taping, IASTM, and analgesics if deemed necessary to help your condition.
